NRWA, Ford partner to offer Rural Water Fleet Program
January 23, 2012
For Immediate Release
The National Rural Water Association and the Ford Motor Company have created a partnership to offer special fleet discounts to State Rural Water Associations
and their members.
There are over 51,000 small or rural water and wastewater utilities across the United States. This partnership combines the buying power of these individual utilities to provide reduced fleet pricing on utility vehicles.
“The small and rural water utilities have a substantial need for reliable work vehicles, but they don’t have the size to benefit from the fleet contracts offered to the government or large companies,” explained Rob Johnson, NRWA CEO. “This program extends those benefits to all our member utilities.”
Member utilities can access the Ford Rural Water Fleet Program through the appropriate State Rural Water Association. The State Association will issue confirmation, which can be used to purchase vehicles at the local dealer or through the fleet auto group at www.nrwafleet.com. Contact information for State Rural Water Associations is available through NRWA’s online directory.
“This fleet program will provide a tremendous amount of cost savings and flexibility to our small water and wastewater utilities,” Johnson said.
